GOINGS, Daniel Woodrow 53, of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Monday April 10, 2010 in his residence. He was born August 18, 1956 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Donald W. and Cecile W. (Painter) Goings. Dan was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church where he was active with Stephen Ministry. He was an Assistant Manager at Citi Financial. He was a member of Safari Club International where he served as treasurer. Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Stan Wilkins of Springfield; brother, David Goings of St. Louis, Missouri; niece, Alix (Dan) Payton of Springfield; nephews, John Haucke of Springfield, J.R. Goings, Joe Goings, and Jimmy Goings all of St. Louis, Missouri; special cousin, Jema Sullivan of Springfield; aunt Betty Courtney of Springfield, aunt Mary Hollowell of Springfield and cousin Julie Maes of Springfield; aunt and uncle, Barbara and Ralph Stroh of New Knoxville. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday April 15, 2010 in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1801 St. Paris Pike with Pastor Daniel M. Powell officiating.
