SHOCKEY, Jr. Elmer Ray 58, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 in his home. He was born September 2, 1955 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Elmer Ray and Patricia Ann (Marcum) Shockey, Sr. Mr. Shockey was a member of the Ohio Iron M. C. and had worked at Valco Industries. He enjoyed fishing, camping, dune buggies, and dirt bikes. He is survived by three children, Rebekah Ahrens, Kathryn Shockey, and Chyann Shockey, all of Springfield; three grandchildren, Riana Luallen, Steven Ahrens, and Kayleana Shockey; two brothers, John (Charlene) Shockey, De Graff, and Kim Shockey, Springfield; one sister, Karen Shockey (Ted Munch), Springfield; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Pete, Debbie, Scott, Mike, Kevin, Bair and Casper. He was preceded in death by his parents. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00PM until 5:00PM Saturday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
